This award is presented by each state REALTOR® association to one member who has shown exceptional work to advance their association and the real estate industry.
The award focuses on several categories including REALTOR® spirit, participation in civic activities, notable business accomplishments and local or national association activity. Lewis, an accomplished agent of 17 years and Phoenix native, joined the National Association of REALTORS® in 2002 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2012. He currently serves as the 2019 President of the Arizona Association of REALTORS®.
Realty Executives is pleased to announce that James Wexler has been named the #1 residential real estate agent by the Phoenix Business Journal Book of Lists. The prestigious ranking is based on total dollar volume for 2018 residential real estate sales in Maricopa County, which was $82.14 million for Wexler. Along with dollar volume for 2018, other information points for the rankings include number of transaction sides, most expensive home sold during the year, and agent email and website information.
In addition, Realty Executives Phoenix agent Scott Grigg was ranked #6 with $60.29 million total dollar volume and Rosie Derryberry was ranked #17 with $31.47 million total dollar volume. The publication also ranked real estate teams, Realty Executives of Phoenix teams recognized included: Williams Team of Realty Executives Phoenix, ranked #9 at $139.9 million, the Realty Network Group ranked #34 at $50.76 million and ONE Priority Team ranked #44 at $46.13 million. All rankings in these categories for the Book of Lists were based on total dollar volume for 2018 residential real estate sales in Maricopa County. Realty Executives Midwest believes in giving back to the community in which they live and work. Recently, Broker Joan Wayman assisted in organizing the Rotary Club of Darien, Illinois’ Taste of Route 66 event. This annual event features local restaurants who create delicious samples for ticket holders. People are also able to bid online to purchase donated items. All proceeds benefit a local Food for Kids Program put in place to help food-insecure children bring meals home on Fridays during the school year, as many families may be dependent on school sponsored lunches. Every six weeks, Wayman coordinates the Rotary Club members and local volunteers to buy and pack over 1,100 food bags for school social workers to privately place into the children’s backpacks. This years, the Taste of Route 66 event raised over $31,000 to help buy and pack nutritional meals for 200+ elementary students.
