  • Living in North Arlington, NJ, Lifestyle, Buying and Renting

    (Published on - 9/28/2017 1:57:46 PM)

North Arlingon has changed so much in this last decade - home values and rents have skyrocketed, activities are everywhere and ultimately the synergy of this growing community is changing lives. Locals and out of state folks alike have come to discover the excitement around Weehawken and throughout my life I've seen the developments of this small community grow into one of the best places to live in the world minutes form the greatest city in the world New York City!

If you're looking to buy or rent in North Arlington, do not miss out on the information provided below.

    Living in North Arlington

Weehawken has become a hip and vibrant local community because of the people and small businesses who have transformed this area. In New Jersey, when you think of local coffee shops, clubs, bars and food - you now think of North Arlington!

    North Arlington Farmers Market

The Garden Street Farmers Market fosters ongoing interaction between New Jersey farmers and the local Hoboken, New Jersey community. We aim to support sustainable agriculture, small businesses, and making farm-fresh produce available to the community. The market is located at The Garden Street Mews (14th & Garden St.), a pedestrian-only neighborhood gathering space.

This seasonal open air Saturday market has an abundance of NJ grown conventional and organic NJ produce, fresh cut herbs, local eggs, chicken and meats. French bakery, prepared foods (including gluten-free), olives, pickles, hummus/spreads, guacamole, crepes, pesto, pizza, cheeses, fresh cut flowers, fruit/veggie pops, donuts, crepes prepared at market, fresh squeezed lemonade, vegetable juices, gluten-free/grainless baked goods and more...

    Coffee Shops

KTB Coffee Shop & Lounge, 323 Ridge Road, next to Crystal Florist and Greenhouses, former home to Copper Mine Pub. The hours are Sunday through Thursday 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Buying and Renting in North Arlington

Ever since the drop in the market in 2008, North Arlington has become one of the most desired places to live within New Jersey. And during that time many folks took the opportunity to invest in Weehawken real estate because of this beautiful melting pot of a diverse group of people who loved to be within walking distance from their home - and all the food and fun.

Now when it comes to buying or renting a place in North Arlington, there can be some challenges due to low inventory in 2017. From a renting perspective, there are so many property management companies who waste peoples time with unrealistic processes to qualify a renter. And then if you're looking to buy real estate in Weehawken, the prices can get quite high if you're not familiar with the real comps and value of the market place.

In fact, the best opportunities to buy or rent in North Arlington, are the unseen properties. Properties that never hit the MLS or the internet because the deal was put together before it ever got to that point. There are many landlords and sellers who'd rather deal with a couple of entities compared to dealing with hundreds of propsects who are not really interested or qualified and that's where my personal business relatioships and expertise in the North Arlington area can help you with your buying or renting goals.

My name is Matthew De Fede and I was born and raised in NJ. Not only have I sold real estate for the past decade but I also partake and enjoy in the lifestyle that this amazing community has to offer. If you're interested in buying or renting, let me get you started in the right direction.

If you're interestd in buying or renting in a specific community, you will want to see a list of the current comps in that neighborhood. Please do not trust automated online values (like Zillow) especially when it comes to a tight knit commuity like North Arlington- you need someone who has access to all the closed record of sales and who is actively working the current rental market.
