Lynette DeLisa, a REALTORⓇ with Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® in Sparta, New Jersey, has a powerful reputation for giving back to the community. Her passion for helping others is demonstrated regularly through her volunteer work with Benny’s Bodega, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization currently assisting more than 700 families- over 2,000 people- per month.
About Lynette DeLisa
Lynette ranks among New Jersey’s elite real estate professionals- and her dedication to the local community is as strong as her passion for real estate. She is a trusted advocate who prioritizes client needs, transparency, and communication.
Lynette has worked hard to become a nationally ranked realtor and the number one producer at Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors®- all while balancing being a mom and volunteer for organizations such as the Rotary Club, Kindness for Christopher, Wished Upon a Child, Warrior Strong, and Benny’s Bodega.
“Lynette exemplifies what it truly means to be an Executive. Her dedication to serving others extends far beyond the real estate transaction. Through her philanthropic work, she is making a meaningful impact in our community, providing support and compassion to those who need it most,” said Doug Radford, Broker/Owner of Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors®. “That same heart for service is evident in the way she cares for her clients. She skillfully combines community leadership with a relentless focus on delivering exceptional results for all those in her sphere.”
Getting Involved with Benny’s
Because there is no government funding or partnership with federal food banks in the area, Lynette is first in line to help raise funds through Benny’s annual fundraising events such as the 50:50 raffle, car raffle, golf outing, and tricky tray.
“I got involved with Benny’s Bodega because it is such a wonderful community resource. It’s not a traditional corner store or deli but set up like a bodega (store) where people can ‘shop’ for free basic needs items from food, clothing, hygiene items, cleaning products, and school supplies to pet food and more in a welcoming, dignified environment. I love that Benny’s helps reduce the stigma around seeking assistance,” says Lynette.
About Benny’s Bodega
Benny’s mission is to be a community hub pioneering support for A.L.I.C.E (Asset. Limited. Income. Constrained. Employed) senior and veteran populations. It is a unique store that gives hardworking families the freedom to shop for basic needs items for free. It operates with zero government funding, thriving purely on donations and support from the local community.
Benny’s Expansion
Benny’s Bodega started in a cubicle, moved to a third-floor attic in Andover, then to a store front on Spring Street in 2022.
Recently, Benny’s Bodega founders Benjamin and Heather Davey told Lynette that they were outgrowing space, so she went to work to find the perfect location. As it turned out, fellow REALTORⓇ Cathy Kut was representing the sale of another Sussex County non-profit’s building that fit the bill. Benny’s moved forward and, as of their grand opening on January 31st, are officially located in their new larger facility on Plains Road in Frankford.
To help jump start the new location, Lynette donated $9,000 to Benny’s- her entire commission- at the grand opening. “We so appreciate the support from Lynette as well as all our volunteers and suppliers,” said Ben Davey, Executive Director. “We partner with Wegmans, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s, and pick up food from each of them twice a week. Without all this support we would never be able to do what we do.”
If you’re looking to shop, donate, or assist the local Sussex community, Benny’s Bodega is a highly recommended spot where people are enthusiastic about helping others. Benny’s Bodega can be reached at their new home located on Plains Road in Frankford or by visiting their website www.bennysbodega.com.
