Executive Spotlight - Kim Peterson

Kim Peterson’s journey in the real estate industry is an accomplished one. Pursing additional training to better serve her clients, Kim’s resume of industry certifications reads like an alphabet of specialties. With designations as an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR); Kim has equipped herself to navigate the real estate market with expertise. 

Specializing in the Ozaukee and Sheboygan county markets, Kim’s commitment to the industry and her clients is the catalyst to her successful sales career. When asked how her business has changed since joining REI, she mentioned the income level and pay structure was very different. Kim then went on to explain “it’s so much more than just the money, it is the ability to run my business as I see fit.” Being associated with Realty Executives Integrity allows me the opportunity to control the factors that can impact my career. “It’s being allowed the freedom to negotiate my commission that makes sense to me and my business” shares Kim.

Generating Business to Your Business: “If you build it, they will come.”

Who doesn’t love an epic line from a good movie, but can you put this visionary statement into practice for your business? Having a vision is a start, but unless you put steps in place to attract business to your business, your field will see no action. Giving thought to the items below will ensure your pipeline of sales remains strong. 

Decide what kind of business you want to build

The sure way to bring business to your business is to funnel your passions into your profession. Find areas of your professional life that bring personal gratification. For example, if you find pure enjoyment in working with first time homebuyers, become a resource for people looking to purchase a home for the first time. Most likely, they have HGTV guiding their ideas on the home buying process and that could lead to unwelcomed complications. 

Blogging for Your Business

While blogging might seem daunting, it can also be an exciting part of your job. The most challenging part is getting started and deciding what to blog about. The key is to start simple and blog about what you know. Have a new listing, then BLOG about it? Yes, it can be that simple. Adding consistent content to your website lets search engines know your website is relevant, and becomes an opportunity to generate inquiries on your website.   

Share Your Value Proposition

How many times have you seen a friend post on Facebook that they are looking for a good Realtor? Find opportunities to volunteer your time in service of others and watch your business grow,
