When is the best time to buy Airline Tickets

(Published on - 11/8/2017 12:13:13 AM)

We're coming to a time of year when many of us will travel.  It may be for a Thanksgiving Holiday, a winter warm vacation spot or snow sports and skiing.   If you're like my family, we want the best holiday on our personal budget.

So when is the best time to buy Airline Tickets...... I did some searching and here's what I found:

According to Farecompare, the best day to purchase airline tickets is Tuesday at about 3pm.  Why?  Apparently many airlines release their inexpensive fares early Tuesday morning.  By the end of the day, competing airlines have adjusted their prices to be competitive.

Whether you choose to fly, drive or just stay home this holiday season, please make it a safe one.  And, when you're looking to maximize your budget on a home purchase, call Krista Brayer at Realty Executives, Tucson Elite.  520-975-5640

Flood Insurance

(Published on - 9/4/2017 7:25:21 PM)

Do you have flood insurance for your home?  After watching the extreme devastation to Texas this last week, my thoughts raced to, How Can I Help?  A local firefighter stated "if you truly want to help, just send money".  This made sense, as he explained the logistical nightmare in sending food and clothing.  There are some amazing, well organized non-profits in place for emergencies such as this.

The expectation is that FEMA and personal hazard insurance will cover their financial losses.  Or, will they?

Now might be a good time to review your home hazard insurance policy.  Call  your agent and ask some strategic questions.  Are you covered for "Acts of God"?

What's the economic forecast for Home Renovations in the US?

(Published on - 7/18/2017 7:02:13 PM)

What's the economic forecast for Home Renovations in the US?

From the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University,  their report profiles the national home improvement and repair spending forecast through 2025.

Home improvement spending is projected to strengthen.  Environmental awareness and energy efficient upgrades continue to grow and create demand among buyers and will continue to be the fasted-growing market segment.

55+ homeowners will continue to dominate the remodeling market.  Their renovation expenditures are expected to account for more than three quarters of the market growth over the next decade.

Spending will increase in the country's largest metro areas.

If you're thinking about selling your home and need some strategies and market advise, Call me.  I have a background in remodeling, design, strong resale and mortgage lending.

The Sky is not Falling

(Published on - 6/5/2017 4:51:51 PM)

Here's a great note from my friend Steve Van De Beuken with Sunstreet Mortgage

"Hi Krista!

I like George Hammond. I've never met him but I like him. Hammond is an economist at the University of Arizona and he says that Tucson's economy will pick up steam as we head into 2018. Hammond says that Tucson "is poised for growth, citing accelerating job gains last year, signs of wage growth in a tightening labor market and a slowly improving residential real-estate market."
Tucson is forecast to add 5,400 jobs in 2017 and 7,200 jobs in 2018 which is far more than the 1,700 jobs added in 2016. Competition for employees to fill these jobs is expected to force wages 3% higher than they are now. There is still room for growth as Tucson has only replaced 60% of the jobs lost during the Great Recession.
      Get ready!    "

THANKS Steve!!!

It's telling when the National Association of Realtors Copyright's a form that helps buyers increase their chances of getting their dream home in a competitive housing market.

Here's a list of their suggestions:
