Meet Bizzy of #BizzyTucsonHomes

By Rane Clements

This is the first installment of the BizzyTucsonHomes blog!  In order to give readers a little background, I thought I’d interview Bizzy and let you read for yourself what makes her Team so special!

Tell me a little bit about how you got into real estate.

My husband Jeff and I have been buying and selling homes since 1999.  We bought a home in Indiana that was a foreclosure way before the foreclosure crisis hit America, remodeled the home, had some success reselling it. Our hobby turned into a career when we moved to Tucson.

What sets your team apart from other realtors?

We really focus on what our clients’ needs are.  Sometimes the right option for a client is not to buy or sell.  We identify what our clients’ needs are, then put together a plan to promote their goals.  Every step along the way, you are going to be taken care of.  Attention to detail and 5 star client satisfaction are two of our primary goals.

Give me an example of attention to detail in the real estate world.

I think hiring a professional photographer to take pictures is a good example.  I’ve met with clients to sign listing paperwork, and they’ve said “Ok, are you going to take pictures now?”  and I’ve said “No of course not, I want to represent your house in the best way possible.” Even if I think I can take some pretty good pictures of a home, they aren’t going to compare to what a professional real estate photographer can do.  Also home staging, before the professional photos, sets a client’s house apart from the rest. We take a lot of steps before it hits the market to ensure every listing looks its best.  My Team offers a professional staging consultation, whether that’s giving a client a “to-do” list or coming in with our home stager to rearrange rooms, making them the most appealing they can be, and then taking the beautiful, professional photos of the home.  We will never put the home online until we complete those steps.

What advice would you give to someone who is looking for a realtor, either to buy or sell a home.

I recommend interviewing a few different agents.  Knowing you are hiring someone who has your best interest in mind should be a priority. Communication is key. If you don’t communicate well with your realtor, you are setting yourself up for problems.  Get referrals from friends or clients.  I mostly work by referral and love that my past clients are my biggest supporters. They know how much attention to detail we provide, and the care we give them. It’s the biggest compliment….receiving a referral.

What do you like about Tucson?

I love that Tucson is like a big, small town. I always say instead of 7 degrees of separation, it’s more like 2 degrees of separation. And with a metro area of over a million people, plus having the UA here, we get lots of great events, cultural activities, and top college sports right here in Tucson. Also, with our sunny climate, the outdoors is very accessible. We have mountain ranges for hiking, great road and mountain bike trails...there's always something fun to do outside. This really fits with my family's active lifestyle.

Tell me about your favorite restaurant?  If you were going to go out for dinner, where might you go?

I have a couple favorite restaurants depending on the time of day and where we’re going. If I’m downtown, I really like Hub or Reilly’s.  If I’m midtown, it’s Kingfisher. One of our go to family restaurants is Sauce. You can get fresh pizzas and salads and everyone in our family loves it.  If I’m in the Tanque Verde area, Le Buzz is always on the list. In the Foothills, we enjoy Commonor & Co. I also like the Flying Leap Tasting Room in St. Phillip’s Plaza.

Favorite weekend activity?

We have gotten in the habit of getting up early and doing a hike up Tumamoc Hill.  It’s a great way to get out and challenge yourself first thing in the morning. You feel so accomplished when you finish and you get the reward of being able to see 360 degree views of Tucson at the top.  Tumamoc draws an interesting variety of people that you see on the hill over and over again.  It’s also something a lot of different ages can do.  Recently, a friend visited and her 9 year old daughter hiked it with us. It’s a challenge but it’s doable for most ages and abilities.  After a hike, we’ll grab breakfast afterwards at a local spot.

What is your personal motto?

Personal motto….hmmmm…."Do The Right Thing". And, I like to follow a lot of thought processes of the book, “The Secret”.   It’s a lot of visualizing what you want in your life and making it happen, going for your goals, thinking positively, and the power of attraction.  Within our Team, we see that "Teamwork Makes The Dream Work".  We’re better together than we are individually and we love to connect with each other. Our Team members promote each other in everything we do, whether it’s business or personal life.
