5 Tips for Creating and Managing a Facebook Business Page
Getting Started - One of the main advantages of creating a Facebook business page is to gain an audience and promote your brand. Begin by Identifying yourself and mapping your location. You want to select the specific criteria for your business as advised through the initial selection process. (Local Business or Place)- Enter Name, Job Category & Branch office location.
Creating a User Name & Adding Photos -It is recommended to have your own website and domain ready before you create a username. A great tip many don’t realize is uniformity is key. You should create your username initially; if not you will not be able to until you to get a certain number of likes and increase your page visibility.
Your username should match your domain name.
When adding photos such as your profile or cover photo use the criteria as shown below.
Establishing your Brand Identity- Tell your story with a brief bio or mission statement that should include your URL. You then have the ability to select category tags to define your service. Facebook has new template settings you can use to help you get started.
Being able to navigate your settings is essential. You can arrange your tab display and manage your tabs by turning them on and off. You can create a subtab button with a link to your domain to direct your followers to your site.
Censoring & Compliance- It is important to censor your content on your facebook page. You can manage who can post to your timeline. You can do this by customizing your Timeline, Tag Review, Security Log and Privacy settings. You want to be able to control the flow of information being posted on a consistent basis.
Keeping Contact - You always want to begin with who you know. However, if you only had one to two mins to make a good first impression what would you do to gain audienceship? Consistent brand messaging, when you post on Facebook make sure you include this standard: your name, professional title, brokerage name, and phone number. In a world where you are constantly bombarded by solicitations and fake news, you come to find the public attention span to be about one minute. As a Realtor®, you want to make sure your professional integrity and rapport show.
Follow these five quick easy steps and your page will be social media worthy. All you have to do is start posting. You will be booming with activity in no time. Please refer to Prime Agent select the Brokerage tab -Information and documents- under Broker’s office information to access your guides and manuals. Select the Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® “Internet Policy Guide” for design and posting guidelines.

In the 2017 ranking, Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® climbed 69 spots in the annual nationwide report, placing at #413 by 2016 transaction sides. The firm was also the only brokerage in the Fairfield, New Jersey area that made the list.
Under the leadership of partners Kyle Poskitt, COO, and President, Doug Radford, Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® opened four new branches in the last year, including Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® Butler, Oakland, Wayne, and Dover, bringing the brokerage office count to 14 locations.
“Supporting our Executives and putting them first is what sets us apart from the competition,” Radford explains. Providing the back-end support that high producing agents require to be successful has been a focus for Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® from day one. “We run a support center where we provide administrative, marketing and technological support to our Executives. We feel that our associates should be the rainmakers, focusing on what they do best, building relationships and servicing their clients,” says Poskitt.
“There is no other brokerage in New Jersey that has a support center like ours. We recognize that a brokerage is only as good as the agents associated with the company. The goal of our support team is to give our associates more time to be client-facing and to assist them in winning more listings and growing their business. Our hope is that if we provide the very best support to our Executives, that they, in turn, will provide the very best service to their clients and everyone wins,” adds Radford.
Radford and Poskitt have developed a strategy that is working. Based on year-over-year closed transaction data from the Garden State Multiple Listing Service, Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® is the fastest growing real estate company, growing by 38% in 2016. The numbers compare real estate brokers with at least 1,000 closed transaction sides included in the GSMLS last year.
Demonstrating excellence in real estate and ensuring a smooth transaction for buyers and sellers is not the only way Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® gives back. Recently more than sixty Executives, support staff, and affiliates completed four days of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. The group came together to help construct new homes in Dover, New Jersey for families in need.
As a company and through the efforts of individual Executives and staff, Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® actively supports numerous New Jersey causes and organizations, giving generously of their time, talents and resources.

True leaders inspire us to do great things. Matchup one successful leader with another and the possibilities are endless. This is exactly what the National Association of REALTORS® Volunteering Works award aims to achieve, as it annually awards grant money to select REALTORS® who work on small-scale charitable programs and connects them with a mentor who can help them amplify their efforts, often inspiring new goals and direction.
In 2015, Executive Sandy Rubolotta of Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors® Pompton Plains, in Pompton Plains, N.J., was just one of five national recipients to receive the 2015 Volunteering Works award for her work with the Deborah Hospital Foundation Greater Pompton Area Chapter. Deborah Hospital is a facility that treats patients regardless of their ability to pay.
As part of the award, Rubolotta was paired up with Dave Philp who has worked for decades with the Ridgeview Medical Center in western Minneapolis and brings extensive fundraising expertise to the mentoring relationship. As for the results?
“His words are clearly engraved in my memory and I think of them often. ‘Make your fundraisers into FRIENDRAISERS, and the funds will follow.’ This is my new philosophy,” Rubolotta says.
Rubolotta utilized the awarded funds to promote charitable events on social media and in other public outlets.
“We have promoted our events using our website, banners, posters, direct mailings and networking through our National Headquarters at the hospital. The director of support services has informed me that we are slowly becoming a regional chapter,” Rubolotta explains.
As a result, several new members have been referred to Rubolotta through neighboring chapters, and volunteers participating in local fundraisers have also joined the Greater Pompton Area Chapter. This has brought new energy and ideas to light.
One of which is the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Screening Program, a new project primarily for teens between the ages of 12 and 18. Sudden Cardiac Arrest takes the lives of 24 children per day in the target age group, and Rubolotta’s chapter is spearheading a major initiative to bring a team of Deborah’s cardiac specialists and specialized equipment up to North Jersey to make a difference. The goal is to kick the program off in 2017 and screen some 300 student athletes for free.
Those looking to support the Deborah Hospital Foundation don’t have to wait for next year to get involved.
“It has always been our goal to bring awareness of Deborah’s mission to North Jersey because the hospital’s offerings are largely known only to those below the Driscoll Bridge, although the free services are open to all. We are creating an ad journal, targeting support from businesses and professionals, to highlight the wonderful work of Deborah Heart and Lung Center and raise awareness of the screenings and other free programs,” Sandy explains.
The ad journal will debut on December 1, 2016, at the chapter’s Theater Gala 2016, which will be held at the Barn Theatre in Montville, N.J. Tickets for 9 to 5 The Musical based on the iconic movie of the same name are now available.
Having once been a grateful and unexpected recipient of Deborah’s services herself, Sandy Rubolotta takes great joy in knowing that her chapter’s efforts may be instrumental in preventing the untimely death of a young person. “My commitment to this wonderful and unique hospital is a lifelong mission,” she says.
