Getting you house ready to sell takes time and a lot of work if you have not kept up your home.
1. Clean and depersonalize your home - That means clean from top to bottom and inside out, and remove all personal photos, paintings from the walls, and store all desktop decorations...less is better. Paint the house a neutral color, clean the windows, ceiling fans, and replace or repair broken door handles, floor tiles and mini blinds. Clean bathroom(s) and kitchen appliances.
2. Set the right price - check the sold properties similar to your house in the last 3 months to get the price right.
3. Hire a professional real estate agent that can guide you through the process and keeps you informed of what the market is doing.
4. Boost your curb appeal - clean the yard, remove dead bushes and paint the front door if needed.
5. Offer buyer incentives, if appropriate, such as paying the buyer's agent commission.
