So, you've decided to put your house on the market?  You know at least 7 realtors including your next door neighbor and your sister-in-law.  You're not sure how to choose a realtor and you certainly don't want to cause any hard feelings.  However, your home is most likely your biggest asset!   Here are a few things to consider when choosing the right realtor to sell your home:

 

  • Experience is definitely a plus!  Look for a realtor who has a history in sales and marketing and can site positive negotiating experiences.  References are also a great resource to use in your selection process.

 

  • Any repairs or updates needed to get your home ready?  Having a licensed contractor give you an analysis of your home and the improvements needed (if any) to get it ready to sell could possibly help avoid any headaches down the road.  

 

  • Staging™ is key in marketing your home.  A well staged home will most likely sell quicker and for more money.  Finding a realtor who has these services available is a must in todays market.
