Back to "NORMAL" (No more procrastinating)

As much as I hate summer to end, I'm excited about getting back to "Normal".  What exactly does that mean?  Well, here are a few things to help describe what "Normal" is for me:

  1. Kids all back in school!!!! Can you tell I'm excited?
  2. No more staying up past midnight every night (those with older/college kids will understand this one)
  3. Routine back in place
  4. Back to healthier eating and lifestyle -- Hmmmm, I think I had 23 grad parties this summer...
  5. Catching up on office duties (no time for filing!)
  6. Rising at 6:00am!  Ok, maybe 6:30 (as I can hear my husband laughing in the backround)
  7. Back to my "TO DO" list

Summer is fun!  However, we tend to get off track and put off projects or other goals we may have.

If you put off shopping for your new home or getting your house ready to sell, now's the time!

G3 Realtors can help you.  We offer staging services, construction consultations/advice and over 30 years of sales experience.

New Home Construction

(Published on - 5/17/2018 1:49:42 PM)

Building a new house

I remember building our home 15 plus years ago.  It was an exciting time.  We were giving up city life and moving to "the country" --  it was a new adventure!  The thrill of designing our own home and having a brand new dwelling to move into was a great feeling.  Everything will work properly, everything will look beautiful and brand new, and we won't have to worry about the problems that one might encounter when purchasing an exisiting home.  Well, things can and do go wrong.  There can be defects in material and workmanship or missed punch list items just to name a few.

Working with a real estate agent who is familiar with new home construction or working with builders could help you through the process.

Bring on the Farmer's Markets!

There's something about the opening of the Farmer's Market Season that brings a smile to my face.  Yes, eventhough today as I sit and type this blog, it's 29 degress outside with six inches of snow...  I do know however, that there's a light at the end of the tunnel and very soon some of my favorite things to do will be at hand.

One of those things is getting up early on a sunny Saturday morning and shopping for fresh locally grown fruits & veggies.  I love strolling around the larger markets where you can also purchase flowers, baked goods, arts & crafts, meats and much more.

The quaintness of the smaller markets where each week there may be a different variety of items is also enjoyable and a great way to support local farmers.                                      .

While days and times vary some, most of the markets run May through October.

Stage to Sell your Home!

(Published on - 3/19/2018 5:18:57 PM)

Staging can make all the difference in the world when it comes to selling your home.   Statistically, homes that are staged properly sell faster and and for more money.  Check out the 2017 survey done by the National Association of Realtor's™ (NAR)  for data and more information.

Recently,  my friend Deidre and I staged my own home -- below are the before and after pics.  Both of us recently became Accredited Staging Professionals™ and had a great time decluttering and moving furniture around.  Staging your own home can be a little too personal.  Having Deidre there helped take the emotion out and make decisions based on practical proven home staging concepts.  No, I'm not currently selling my home, but it sure was great practice and a lot of fun!

G3 Realtors will help you prepare your home to sell -- we offer complementary Staging to all who list with us!

Choosing the Right Realtor

So, you've decided to put your house on the market?  You know at least 7 realtors including your next door neighbor and your sister-in-law.  You're not sure how to choose a realtor and you certainly don't want to cause any hard feelings.  However, your home is most likely your biggest asset!   Here are a few things to consider when choosing the right realtor to sell your home:

  • Experience is definitely a plus!  Look for a realtor who has a history in sales and marketing and can site positive negotiating experiences.  References are also a great resource to use in your selection process.

  • Any repairs or updates needed to get your home ready?  Having a licensed contractor give you an analysis of your home and the improvements needed (if any) to get it ready to sell could possibly help avoid any headaches down the road.

  • Staging™ is key in marketing your home.  A well staged home will most likely sell quicker and for more money.  Finding a realtor who has these services available is a must in todays market.

G3 Realtors has over 30 years of combined sales experience in construction and real estate.  We're also a building/remodeling company with over 25 years in the industry. Recently we added Staging™ services to our portfolio and are thrilled to be able to give our customers this complimentary service.  Call us today for a FREE Market Analysis of your home!
