As much as I hate summer to end, I'm excited about getting back to "Normal".  What exactly does that mean?  Well, here are a few things to help describe what "Normal" is for me:

1. Kids all back in school!!!! Can you tell I'm excited?
2. No more staying up past midnight every night (those with older/college kids will understand this one)
3. Routine back in place
4. Back to healthier eating and lifestyle -- Hmmmm, I think I had 23 grad parties this summer...
5. Catching up on office duties (no time for filing!)
6. Rising at 6:00am!  Ok, maybe 6:30 (as I can hear my husband laughing in the backround)
7. Back to my "TO DO" list

Summer is fun!  However, we tend to get off track and put off projects or other goals we may have.

There's something about the opening of the Farmer's Market Season that brings a smile to my face.  Yes, eventhough today as I sit and type this blog, it's 29 degress outside with six inches of snow...  I do know however, that there's a light at the end of the tunnel and very soon some of my favorite things to do will be at hand. 

One of those things is getting up early on a sunny Saturday morning and shopping for fresh locally grown fruits & veggies.  I love strolling around the larger markets where you can also purchase flowers, baked goods, arts & crafts, meats and much more. 

The quaintness of the smaller markets where each week there may be a different variety of items is also enjoyable and a great way to support local farmers.                                      .

While days and times vary some, most of the markets run May through October.

Recently,  my friend Deidre and I staged my own home -- below are the before and after pics.  Both of us recently became Accredited Staging Professionals™ and had a great time decluttering and moving furniture around.  Staging your own home can be a little too personal.  Having Deidre there helped take the emotion out and make decisions based on practical proven home staging concepts.  No, I'm not currently selling my home, but it sure was great practice and a lot of fun!
