Put on Your Dancing Shoes

(Published on - 9/17/2018 6:13:52 PM)

Sometimes you need the night to get out and bust a move! The only setback is finding a place where you’re not the only one on the dance floor! So where do you go where everyone is enjoying the music and unafraid to show off their dance moves (whether they are good or not)?  Look no further than Seville Quarter in downtown Pensacola, Florida.

Seville Quarter offers a variety of live entertainment. While you may not be in the mood to show off your dance moves just yet, you can still enjoy being entertained by a variety of live music acts—all happening simultaneously! The venue is actually comprised of several old, brick buildings merged together. Seville strategically transformed the buildings to offer seven different entertainment rooms without them interfering with each other’s music. So, you can weave around Seville and find entertainment around every corner including a different bar to order a drink.

There are always about two different live bands playing in Seville Quarter, one more for dancing, and one for watching. Sometimes it can be country or classic rock, but you can always check the calendar on their website to see which band is coming through each weekend. The calendar also lets you know of different events throughout the week like karaoke, happy hours, wine tastings, or other special entertainment.

Seville Quarter is also known to be a destination because of the Dueling Pianos that perform Wednesday through Saturday nights. If you’ve never seen Dueling Pianos, it is definitely worth checking out. People submit their requests with a tip and the two performers add their flare to popular songs that gets the whole room singing along. They are interactive with conversing with the audience and great for groups of all ages!

The typical nightlife crowd at Seville can range from college students to retirees. Because of the range of talent and entertainment, there is a diverse crowd from all backgrounds. So, it’s not just a “young kids’ club.” However, there is the DJ for late night, where you get the club-like atmosphere. With fun lights, fog, and energetic music from Early 2000’s rap to EDM, you’ll quickly work up a sweat!

So, put on your dancing shoes and try out Seville Quarter at your own pace because the venue offers a great variety of entertainment depending on your mood!
