After graduating from the University of Illinois, I pursued a teacher's certificate in English and speech. After teaching high school for a few years, the Development Office at the high school asked me to join them in their fundraising efforts for the school. I did exactly that, and decided that I liked it so much that I wanted to fund-raise at the university level. While working as the Director of Development for Student Affairs at Illinois State University, I completed my Master's Degree in College Student Personnel Administration. I traveled the states, meeting with alumni and soliciting funds for the school's first-ever capital campaign. I loved this job. Life, however, changed and I decided that it was time to start a family.
After staying at home with my kids for five years, it was time for me to return to work. I decided that my background would work well with real estate, so I got my license in 2006. My sales statistics have proven that my background ... was indeed a perfect match for this career. Since that time, I have grown to a large business that is driven primarily by word of mouth. Happy customers tell other happy customers, and I've had the privilege of working with many folks multiple times. Lifetime clients----what a beautiful thing!
