Sue Fitzpatrick - Biography

Every house I walk into is a blank slate with a world of possibilities to make it your dream home or next profitable investment.  With personal experience in both the purchase and investment sides of real estate I am committed to treating your transaction as my own.

I have an eye for design and am frequently told I can see the untapped potential in houses.  I am a born and bred New Yorker, and I have proven success in managing negotiations to most benefit my clients, while still maintaining the utmost professionalism, integrity and excellent service that my clients are accustomed to receiving.

As a Buyer’s agent, it is my job to listen to you and understand what you desire in a property.  Whether it is your forever home that needs to be move-in ready or a fixer-upper with great bones, I will help you realize the potential in the properties I show you.  In some cases it may just mean paint, furniture placement, and decor, while in others it may mean full-scale renovations.  I have extensive experience at both ends of the spectrum and can guide you through the process that gets the exact home for you and your family.

As a Seller’s agent, I can help you tap into unrealized value in your property.  With my design experience, I can help you get your home in perfect showing condition, by putting emphasis on what the buying market loves in your home.  Together, we can market your home in a way that will garner the most value.

I grew up in Long Island, New York and chose to go to college in the mid-west, for a different experience.  After graduating Stephens College with a BS in Fashion Merchandising, I moved to New York City with my eye on fashion and design.  I worked for Ralph Lauren where I developed, designed, and implemented interiors of retail stores.  This experience gave me the opportunity to hone my skills at maximizing the potential of a space.

After marrying my husband Jack, I got the bug for real estate while renovating our historic brownstone on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.  Anticipating the growth of our family, we moved from the City to Westchester, NY and I undertook a full redesign of a 1950s split ranch.  I acted as the general contractor on the renovation that included a roof-raise and full "gut" of the entire home.  2,200 additional square feet later, the home was transformed into a French-Country Manor house.

Just a few short years later, with the addition of our four lovely daughters, school choice became the utmost priority for me.  We moved to the coveted Bronxville School District and I took on the interior renovation of a 1929 Colonial Tudor.  Although we loved it, we chose to leave the hustle and bustle of New York and relocate to enjoy the sunshine and more relaxed pace of Arizona.

We relocated to North Scottsdale in 2014, and for the first time, we found a home built in the same decade that we were purchasing it.  Importantly, I have been able to make small improvements and have added architectural touches to this home without knocking down walls. Ultimately, we have made this house our home.

Before we moved here I was able to perform extensive research on schools in the area and found the right fit for my family.  We were also lucky enough to use Realty Executives as our buying agent and the experience was such a positive one that I knew this was the firm for me after obtaining my Real Estate license.

My family and I love where we are now and it is my goal to find you that home that makes you just as happy as well.   We enjoy all that the Valley has to offer from unbelievable golf, the beauty of hiking any of our numerous trails, the top-notch shopping and dining, etc.  The girls love to play soccer and tennis and we have two skilled equestrians in the family.

Whether you are buying or selling I look forward to working with you to make your dreams a reality.
