Nikki Moore - Biography

First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read about what brought me to real estate and how I am here to serve You. As a Realtor, I believe that the client is the most important piece of the real estate puzzle. Let's face it, without You, we would not exist! Therefore, You should be treated as our number one priority. The golden rule of treating others how you want to be treated is number 1 in my business!

I was born in Murfreesboro, TN and my family settled in Blount County when I was around 4 years old. I always knew I would serve others in some way growing up, because all of my career goals were based around serving. I first explored the medical field in high school by joining Health Occupations Students of America. I took a leading role as treasurer and later became the president. After high school, I continued to work in the medical field until I committed myself to another dream of serving others, law enforcement. As an officer, I patrolled the communities of Knoxville, TN. I had my mind set on moving up the ranks to a Deputy Chief of Police and retiring from that position.  Well, apparently I did not realize that when I gave birth to my son, my maternal side would change everything, even after over 7 years of building my career. I earned numerous certifications including Crisis Negotiator, Crisis Intervention Team Officer, Certified Tactical Bicycle Officer, Field Training Officer, and Certified Instructor, which brought a vast knowledge of the duties and ethics necessary to provide the best experience for buyers and sellers. I absolutely loved being a police officer; however, the guilt of leaving my children made me reconsider my career choice. After a long period of time, consideration, prayer, and advice from fellow officers, I took a huge leap of faith. I left to spend less time focusing on and building my beloved career to focus on family and real estate.

Some of you are wondering where real estate came into the picture. Well, let me rewind for you a bit. I purchased my first home in 2004 at the young age of 19. It was an older home with lots of charm that needed a little love and care, and I couldn't wait to get my hands dirty to give it life again. From there, I was hooked! I thought this was always something I would do on the side as a hobby, and my career would involve serving others. Several years later and four home purchases down the road, my husband and I bought our first "flip" home. We had so much fun remodeling this beauty that we put a contract on another "diamond in the rough" before we sold the first!  What better real estate opportunity than to facilitate the improvement of homes that once had an adverse effect on the community’s resale value and environment by giving these homes new life and placing them back on the market for others to enjoy and call home. The task of investing has given me a vast amount of experience in real estate transactions, financing, community involvement, remodeling, negotiations and organization. A longtime friend encouraged me to get my real estate license soon after I left law enforcement. It made absolute sense! I could help others accomplish their goals/dreams of homeownership, investing, and in other real estate areas.

You probably thought the story would end there. My love of serving continued to be strong on my heart, and I wanted to combine my real estate career in some way of giving back. After many months of searching, brainstorming, talking with colleagues, and prayer, I found Homes for Heroes. I immediately fell in love with what they stood for, serving those who serve us. After years of serving the communities around me, I knew what it was like. Most of the time it was a very thankless task, but that was just a part of the profession. So, when I discovered a way to give back and say thank you to heroes in our communities, who selflessly give every day, I knew I was absolutely dedicated to the program!  Every day, I look forward to helping teachers, law enforcement, military, firefighters, licensed healthcare workers, and EMS receive their discount rewards when buying and selling real estate!  I am excited to be given the opportunity to assist you with all your real estate needs and welcome you to visit me at the Realty Executives Associates office at 1213 W.
