Please keep in mind however, in today’s market, inventory is low.  So, if you find a house that you “Love” act fast and make a competitive offer.  But I always ask my clients to understand that in sellers’ market, you do run the risk of over paying for a house!

One thing to keep in mind about buying a lake front home in this area is inspections.  Its VERY common that lakefront houses have septic systems and wells.  Why is that important to know?  Well, when it comes to home inspections, its much more expensive to test wells and septics.  BUT, you really NEED to inspect these because if they malfunction in the future, it can be very expensive to replace or repair.  Think about it this way, if you inspect a septic and it fails, we will ask the seller to fix it!  Hey now, thats less money for you to spend later.
