Outstanding welcoming neighbors- they have even helped us with yard work, dog sitting, childcare, and bringing us meals when our baby was born! When the trees all fill in come spring, you can't see Galpin, and your backyard becomes a secluded oasis. The kids love seeing ducks and muskrats in the pond, deer and bunnies in the yard, and catching frogs in the summer! Having an oversized driveway for when family/company comes to visit. The side yard hill is steep enough for good sledding, but not too steep to mow! Santa parade comes through the neighborhood at Christmas, collecting food bank donations along the way. Sitting in the hot tub with patio string lights glowing during a good snow. Exchanging books at the Little Free Library up the street during visits to the park. Picking apples from the trees just past the park and making our own applesauce! Going on evening walks in an established neighborhood with plenty of huge trees, elevation change, and neighborhood ponds. Beautiful peony bush and blue spruce trees in the backyard. Lush lily plants start to fill the area between the yard and -the pond in spring. Tulips bloom in front flower beds. Being so close to Minnewashta and Lake Ann parks- 3 minute drive to take the kids to the beach and parks there (Longacres also has a path that connects to Minnewashta for walking/bike access.)
