Our parents had this ranch home built in the late 1950's and added on the huge 2 car garage on the north and the wonderful family room on the south as our family grew. Three bedrooms, 2 full baths, family room, laundry room, and roomy kitchen/dining room all on the main level. An enclosed screened in patio just off the kitchen, and an adjoining wooden deck makes for a great living experience. It sits on a little over 2 acres. To the north of the home is a large area great for playing all kinds of games, and to the south is a wooded area great for exploring and playing hide and seek. The basement is full under the original home, sporting a paneled room great for use as an office or even a model train room. With the heavy rains we've experienced in the last several years we developed a problem with water coming in around the casement windows. Last year we had a French drain type trench dug on the hill behind our home, which worked pretty well until we got 11 1/2 inches of rain in just a couple of hours last month. Fortunately, the sump pump did its job very well, and we just power washed the floor afterwards, just like thousands of people across the city. Overall, a great and very comfortable home.
