1927 Harborside Drive 304 Peanut Butter Warehouse originally built in 1884–1900: by the George B. Dobson Cotton Pickery. Commissioned in 1912-1943 by Walker-Smith Wholesale Grocery, the building was used to store coffee beans, candy, and peanut butter. It notably survived the Great Storm of 1900. Later updated in 2008 as condos. After operating as a grocery warehouse and later a furniture warehouse, the Peanut Butter Warehouse has become a unique Galveston Island landmark located in the heart of downtown between the Strand and the cruise terminals at the corner of 20th and Harborside.
