70 N Ocoee Street This impressive 1840's era building in Historic Downtown Cleveland, Tennessee has been the site of successful businesses for over 175 years. The building's first owner, William H. Tibbs, along with his partner W.J. Hughes, operated the Tibbs and Sanguine Dry Good store, providing clothing and textiles for the thriving Cleveland community for decades. In about 1890, F.P. Kelly and J.P. Cooper opened a saloon, which operated successfully until it was closed in 1903 as a result of prohibition laws. The building was later sold to C.J Wilson and in 1909, Wilson and his son opened the C.J. and J.L Wilson dry good store, which remained in business until the late 1970's. Since 1983, the building has been the home of a successful and respected law practice.
