Phoenix, AZ- Realty Executives Phoenix and Yuma, one of the largest real estate brokerages in the United States, has announced they will be hosting a REALTOR® safety seminar and self-defense training session August 24, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Executive Service Center (645 E Missouri Avenue Suite 210 Phoenix, AZ 85012-1369). The seminar and training session are open to all real estate professionals.

Toni Perelli, a real estate agent for Realty Executives Phoenix and Yuma, believes this event is important for any real estate professional to have a safe career.

“As agents, we tend to let our guards down the busier we get,” Perelli said. “If the phone rings and someone wants to view a property,we run out the door to show it without asking for enough information regarding the prospective client or customer. When hosting open houses, we are extremely vulnerable without a plan or means to protect ourselves before, during or after.”

The free safety seminar will be broken into two segments; an agent speaking panel, and a Krav Maga training course taught by Matthew Numrich, a nationally certified and respected self-defense professional. Numrich has taught Krav Maga, a form of lethal fighting created by Israeli armed forces, to a number of law enforcement professionals including police officers, security professionals and military personnel. As a result of, Numrich was used as a public media resource after the attacks of 9/11, in addition to running several out of state seminars. In late 2003, he was invited to teach instructors of the Federal Air Marshal’s Chicago O’Hare office.

The seminar and training session is an effort by Realty Executives Phoenix and Yuma to create a safer workforce both in and out of its network.
