Home buyers offers were rejected 6 times over a 9 month period. They looked at over 100 homes. Finally on the 7 try they got their dream home. My buyer is a Chef and guess what this home had that none of the other homes had; 2 full kitchens. This was absolutely the best home for this couple that they saw in 9 months.
This couples gift to me was a gourmet meal to eat at home prepared by the husband, a chef, who cooked chicken spiedini, couscous, broccoli, green beans, salmon, lamb, steak, spaghetti alfredo and potatoes. I had an incredible evening eating an incredible meal with my wife Rosie Catalano Siess.
Navigating this crazy market for nine months with this couple definitely had more downs than ups. We put in six different offers on homes and a seller finally accepted my buyers offer on the seventh try. Lucky number seven. To make things even worse, the husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer during the house hunt and had surgery to remove half of his kidney. It was a rough nine months, but these two never lost their drive to one day owning a home. After all this hardship and the sacrifices they made to become homeowners I must say that their determination truly paid off. The energy that this couple had was contagious and I stayed right their with them. I couldn't quit on this couple.
This is one of those sales I will never forget. When we walked through their home before closing the husband kept saying, "is this for real Marty?" I have never gone through so much with any of my clients before, and after all this, I am truly so happy that they never gave up on their dream of owning a home.
