Interior Painting Cost

Interior Painting & The Cost

Painting is one of the easiest ways to spruce up a tired room or even an entire house.

There are a few things to consider before you get started.  Paint color of course, but the type of paint is very important as well.  Also the prep work must be done before the actual painting can begin and in most cases this is what takes up most of the time of a painting project.  It is also worth considering hiring a professional if you are not a good or an experienced painter.

A good paint job can totally change the appearance of the inside of your home.

Top 5 Worst Renovations For Your Remodeling $$$

(Published on - 11/16/2018 7:50:42 PM)

There are a lot things you can do to remodel or renovate your home that will bring you a good return for your dollar.  These are the renovations you may want to re-think before you do:

  • Backyard Patio - Midrange
  • Master Suite Addition - Upscale
  • Major Kitchen Remodel - Upscale
  • Bathroom Addition - Upscale
  • Bathroom Remodel - Upscale

A simpler approach may be the way to go.  A new light fixture, paint, or some new flooring will be less expensive to do and will be easier to recoup the cost when you are ready to sell.

Remember that a clean, well lit home that has been taken care of is more appealing to buyers.

Winterizing

(Published on - 10/8/2018 8:31:42 PM)

We may not get winters like they do up North, but here in the Southeast we get fall storm and hurricanes that need to be cleaned up after before winter gets here.  Here are few tips I believe need to be done to get ready for the upcoming season.

  1. Have your hvac system maintenanced and change or clean your filters regularly.
  2. Clean gutters and remove any debris from your roof.
  3. Check the weather stripping around your doors.  If you can see daylight, then it needs to be replaced.
  4. Check your windows to make sure they are shutting tightly.
  5. Remove any standing water on the property.
  6. Trim any dead limbs on the trees and remove any dead bushes and plant material from around your house.
  7. Have your dryer vent cleaned.
  8. Check for any dry rot and or mold.

I hope this will get you started.  Most of these items are geared to save you energy cost.  Saving money where you can, is always a win win!
