End of Summer Home Maintenance Tips

(Published on - 8/10/2023 6:14:03 PM)

As we are entering the middle of August, it is time to start preparing for the end of summer, and the entrance of fall and winter. There are many ways to prepare for colder weather, and it is best to start now when it is still warm outside! This list will help prepare your home for the changing seasons!

#1 - Clean Outdoor Furniture

Your outdoor furniture has been bearing the elements for the last few months, and it is time to give it a good clean! Along with your furniture, give your pillows and rugs a good clean too! This will save you time when you’re ready to pack it all away for the winter!

#2 - Check Your Gutters

This summer has brought lots of heavy rainfall, and there will be more to come as we enter the fall and winter! Cleaning your gutters will prevent issues in the future, especially when the leaves start falling!

#3 - Exterior Painting

Once the weather gets colder, you won’t have the opportunity to get your house painted, so it’s best to book now! It is recommended to paint above 50? and knowing Wisconsin, that can happen at almost any time!

#4 - Check Your Windows

As we prepare for temperatures to drop, it is important to check your windows for any damages, and also for any gaps that might have formed. It’s better to do window repairs before it’s too cold outside!

#5 - Check Your Patios/Decks

Although it’s (hopefully) a few months away, snow and ice are in the future, and you want to make sure your patios and decks are in proper shape to handle the large amounts of snow and ice we may get!

#6 - Check Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Detectors

This is important to do all throughout the year, so what better time to do it than with a changing season. Making sure the batteries are working properly can save lives!

He has developed a concept called Fundamism, simply defined as the FUNdamentals of a F.U.N. and optimistic lifestyle. When implemented, Paul's philosophy has been proven to reduce attrition, attract great talent, improve customer experience, and drive employee engagement. Paul is not only great in discussing operational growth theory, but in his corporate leadership experience, he's also seen success in putting his FUNdamentals into practice. Paul challenges audiences to move beyond the traditional avenues of achieving happiness - money, title, status, - and develop their own core values that create fulfillment both at work and at home."

Unlimited Support For Finding YOUR Passions!

(Published on - 5/19/2023 3:07:00 PM)

When you think of someone you want in your circle, you think of Ashlyn! Ashlyn is the Head of Social Media Marketing AND a Realtor® at Realty Executives Premier. Ashlyn radiates joy through her personality and smile, and represents the Realty Executives Brand perfectly.

Ashlyn Ellefson has been with Realty Executives Premier for about a year and a half, and was connected to Sarah McLean through her high school career coordinator. Ashlyn first started at Realty Executives Premier as an employee doing Social Media and Marketing for the brokerage. She quickly realized that she was interested in Real Estate, and decided she wanted to pursue that also. "It was great to be able to obtain a lot of Real Estate knowledge and vocabulary in working with Social Media and Marketing. From there, I had so much support behind me in wanting to become an agent. It made me confident in my decision to pursue two things I love."

Along with both Social Media and Real Estate, Ashlyn has also been a key part of Realty Executives Premier's role in their community. "Our brokerage, hands down, has the biggest heart for our community! I am most proud of our monthly outreaches that give back each month to so many organizations. The participation from our agents in donations, events, and networking opportunities is outstanding. There's so much to be proud of!"

Finally, we asked Ashlyn what her favorite part about working at Realty Executives is! "The atmosphere! Our office creates such a positive synergy, that makes me excited to go into work every day. I love our office, and I love everything that Realty Executive stands for."

Thank you, Ashlyn, for representing the Realty Executives Wisconsin Region and for all you do to support our Executives at Realty Executives Premier! We are grateful for you!

5 Tips to Prepare for Selling Your Home This Spring

(Published on - 4/14/2023 3:39:25 PM)

If you are thinking of selling your house this spring, there are many ways to prepare prior to putting your home on the market! Here are 5 tips to help prepare your home for the spring market!

#1 - Find a knowledgeable Realtor®

Most people know someone who is a Real Estate Agent, whether it be a cousin, a friend of a friend, or someone else in your circle, but it is important to remember that just because someone is a Real Estate Agent, it doesn’t mean they are the best fit for you. Just like buying a car, you are allowed to shop around, and find a Realtor® that is the best fit for your house.

#2 - Spruce up your Curb Appeal

The first opinion someone gets of a house is from the street, so it is important to make sure that the exterior of your home is as nice as the interior. One important way to improve curb appeal is to paint! This could be the house itself, but can also include shutters and even your mailbox! Another way to improve curb appeal is by preparing the lawn. This includes pulling weeds, cutting the grass, and planting flowers and landscaping. Remember, this is a first impression, so you want to make your house look good!

#3 - Interior Updates

Like the outside, it is also important to make sure your interior is the best it can be! This includes giving your home a fresh coat of paint. It is amazing what this can do for your house! Another thing to check is that your door knobs, drawer pulls, and light fixtures are all in good condition. The last thing you want is for a door knob to fall off during a showing of your home!

#4 - Declutter

Since you are preparing to move, this is a great time to start decluttering. Most people have more items in their house than they would like to admit, so this is a great time to go through that spare room or closet that you’ve been wanting to! This is also a good time to try and make your house feel more spacious - one way to do this is by re-arranging the layout of furniture, or by moving out a piece or two of your furniture.

#5 - Spring Cleaning

This is a great tip for everyone, but especially important for those thinking of selling their home! Prior to listing, it is important to clean all the rooms of your house and make sure to clean your baseboards, ceilings and ceiling fans, and carpet where necessary. If this feels overwhelming, it is always an option to hire a professional cleaning service!

We hope that following these tips and using the right Realtor® will help make the home-selling process go smoothly, and make for an awesome transaction!

If you are looking for a knowledgeable Reatlor®, don’t hesitate to reach out to anyone at Realty Executives!
