The manager offered to pay for my classes to get a real estate license but I found the \u2018sales job\u2019 too difficult because of the time limitations,\u201d she explains. \u201cBut when I graduated from college I couldn\u2019t find a job that would pay what I wanted, so I decided to try real estate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She then went from being an agent to a Broker and a real estate instructor. She specializes in corporate, military and retirement relocation, as well as commercial and investment real estate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery day is different. You get to meet new people all the time and some clients become great friends,\u201d she shares.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Bustamante believes that fostering meaningful relationships is at the core of her job.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of my past clients told her family that if they ever purchased a house it had to be with me or she would disown them.\u00a0I\u2019ve sold houses to seven members of that family.\u00a0And I\u2019m very appreciative for the referrals and the trust I\u2019ve been able to maintain with the family throughout the years,\u201d she says, emphasizing, \u201cThe relationship is always more important than the sale.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1716\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1716\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtyexecutives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Larissa-Ortiz-and-Diana-Bustamante.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-1716\" src=\"https:\/\/www.realtyexecutives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Larissa-Ortiz-and-Diana-Bustamante.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"1067\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1716\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Larissa Ortiz of the CIPS Advisory Board (left) and Diana Bustamante (right) at the REALTORS\u00ae Conference &amp; Expo last year<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Recently Bustamante earned a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation, successfully completing specialized training on the complex and critical aspects of international transactions. The certification is the only international designation recognized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Association REALTORS\u00ae<\/a> and places her amongst 3,500 international property specialists in 45 countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope to be more proactive in helping people who want to relocate to other countries after retirement or purchase a vacation home outside of the US,\u201d Bustamante states.<\/p>\n<p>And as for anybody planning to move overseas, Bustamante has three pieces of advice:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do your homework<\/li>\n<li>Work with an experienced real estate agent who can guide you through the entire process<\/li>\n<li>Always expect the unexpected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cRelocation requires attention to detail and a lot of follow up, so when I receive a relocation opportunity I do my best to help my clients throughout the process,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n<p>Bustamante is a Broker with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtyexecutives.com\/office\/exceptional-realtors\" target=\"_blank\">Realty Executives Exceptional Realtors\u00ae Fairfield<\/a>.
