He\u2019s a sought-after influencer when it comes to Snapchat for real estate, and he completely dominates Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and all of the big social platforms. However, he is probably most well-known for his podcast <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.onionjuicepodcast.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Onion Juice<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnion Juice provides value to real estate agents who are tired of chasing business, and instead want to attract business,\u201d he explains. \u201cIt\u2019s for the real estate agent who wants to challenge the status quo, be an artist, be authentic. It\u2019s for the agent who wants to be a media company that happens to sell real estate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Mathweg, who is a REALTOR\u00ae, CEO and career developer at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realtyexecutivescs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Realty Executives Cooper Spransy<\/a>, started the real estate podcast because he wanted to educate other agents. Topics range from \u2018how to start your own podcast\u2019 to \u2018how to get real estate listings,&#8217; and he\u2019s been posting episodes every week for over a year now. \u201cOver the course of the year, I\u2019ve noticed new agents really need help. My heart breaks seeing all of the agents coming to the business and then \u00a0leaving the industry\u00a0six months to a year later,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve noticed that most new agents lack confidence, so I have focused my efforts on teaching them ways to build their confidence. I\u2019ve noticed most agents are led with a hammer, when they should be led with a heart. I\u2019ve also noticed that new agents follow all of the other agents, even if the task doesn&#8217;t play to their strengths,\u201d says Mathweg.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI teach agents to be self-aware, double down on their strengths and forget the rest. I teach agents to have a clear plan and then stay consistent with that plan,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n<p><em>Onion Juice<\/em> can also be a valuable training resource to brokers who are trying to grow their firms, and Mathweg even works with agents and brokers personally. \u201cI\u2019ve met so many agents across the country. I\u2019ve created a huge referral network. I\u2019ve learned more than I\u2019ve taught from this network. It&#8217;s also opened the door for agents to join our company. That rocks!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mathweg is confident that he\u2019ll never run out of things to talk about and is looking forward to hosting <em>Onion Juice<\/em> for years to come. \u201cI have done so many different things in this business over the last 15 years that I love to share to with others. I love learning and I love teaching what I&#8217;ve learnt,\u201d he shares. \u201cI also pay attention to current trends in the market and give my take on those trends,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n<p>Mathweg has always loved to do things a little differently and he encourages other agents to be creative and think outside the box. \u201cWhen you challenge the status quo it&#8217;s scary. You get a lot of weird looks and some people doubt your approach. But then the results start pouring in and the next thing you know a tribe has been formed.
