Throughout the last quarter of 2016 and into the new year, Realty Executives offices came together to take part in brokerage-hosted charitable efforts benefiting their local communities. Realty Executives International invited brokerages to take part in a united effort by hosting a system-wide Canned Food Drive campaign that Realty Executives franchises could employ, aiming to improve the lives of those in need in local communities and neighborhoods. Thousands of food items were donated to dozens of local food banks as a result.

In addition to the Canned Food Drive, the system’s giving efforts varied widely, with individual offices finding unique, hyper-local ways to reach out, including incentivizing giving, raffling off one-of-a kind items and making monetary donations in the name of their company’s Broker/Owner.

“Realty Executives Fort Leonard Wood wanted to pay it forward and help out as many local first responders as possible. So, bouncing from fire house to police station, the team asked each unit to gather the utility bills of first responders and drop them off at the Realty Executives Office in St. Robert, Missouri. The Realty Executives Fort Leonard Wood team raised money to pay off the utility bills by selling raffle tickets for an autographed Les Paul Model guitar,” said Nicki McAninch, Broker Associate at Realty Executives Fort Leonard Wood.

Brokerages hand-picked local organizations to support, including Waukesha County Food Pantry, Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity, Saint Clair County Child Abuse/Neglect Council, Toys for Tots Flagler County, People’s Resources Center in Westmont, IL, Mid City Nutrition, Feed My People, Byrnes Mill Police Department, Goodwill of Arizona, the Arizona Animal Welfare League and The Salvation Army, among many others.

“Our amazing agents and their clients, our administrative staff, and the office building friends collected more than 165 gifts for foster children that live in group homes.  For most of these young people, these gifts will be all they received over the holiday,” said Alesondra Mora, director of events and marketing at Realty Executives Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona.

For countless Realty Executives brokerages throughout North America and around the globe, the time is always right to give back.

“We donated toys to a fireman’s family who lost his life the week before Christmas. Many other families came to us for toys and we invited them to come to our office to pick out numerous items for each child,” said Kim Maher, Broker/Owner at Realty Executives Premiere in Eureka, Missouri.  The team at Realty Executives Premiere takes part in a wide range of giving back efforts all year long.
