Growing up in Maryville, Jay and Scott are both graduates from Maryville HS while Randy graduated from Everett HS. After college, all three chose to begin their careers and start families in Blount County. Randy is married to Pam Harrison Temple, his wife of 32 years. They have three children Chelsea, Briana, and Brooke. Jay and Lisa Evan Blevins have been married for 28 year and have two children Daniel and Jessica. Scott and Mary Spencer Blevins have also been married for 28 years and have two children, Macy and Jacob.
The Blevins family history in Blount started with Jay and Scott’s parents, Jerry and Peggy Blevins owners of Blevins Paint Center on West Broadway for 38 years. The Temple family history in Blount started with Randy’s parents, Bob & Nancy Temple, who established the Smoky Mountain Passion Play which ran for 20 years in Townsend. Nancy-also worked for 27 years at Maryville’s central school office.
From an early age Jay knew he wanted to be in sales. While growing up my brother Scott and I worked for our dad, Jerry Blevins, at Blevins Paint Center where the true love to help buyers make the correct choice got started for him. He credits his parents for instilling in him their words of advice “Take care of all customers regardless of the sale”, and “Do the right thing all the time”. His parents operated a successful paint store for 38 years in this manner.
Jay attended East Tennessee State University before starting a 31 year career in sales with Glidden Paint Company. Over those many years he worked with many businesses from small independents to some of the nations largest including Home Depot and Walmart. Those years proved to be invaluable when his wife, Lisa, encouraged him to join her in real estate sales in 2007. Jay quickly realized where he true passion was. He now feels blessed going to a job everyday where he can help make buyers and sellers dream come true.
In January of this year, Jay was able to partner with his brother Scott and close friend Randy Temple to develop a real estate team at Realty Executives Associates offering an even higher level of service to clients. Their motto “Integrity is Everything” is their team’s goal every day.
Randy attended The University of Tennessee-Knoxville, before joining Delta Air Lines in Sales & Marketing. He honed his sales skills promoting Delta to the public, military and travel professionals in Texas before moving to Atlanta, GA where he managed Delta Dream Vacations worldwide refining valuable marketing and negotiating abilities he utilizes today for his real estate clients.
Growing up the son of a pastor, to Randy, there’s nothing more important than maintaining his integrity. That means, as a leading local real estate professional he’s always striving to provide his clients with the ultimate in service and straightforward, honest advice in order to accomplish their home buyer or selling goals.
It’s funny the places in life where we suddenly find perspective. You see, despite a successful career with Delta Air Lines, Randy knew his heavy travel schedule was taking its toll on his family at home. While atop the Austrian Alps as part of a half- day ski excursion during a business trip. The snow-capped peaks stretched as far as the eye could see in every direction, and there wasn’t another human being in sight. Not only did this experience give him an amazing perspective on the scenery below, but also on his life. He says, “with God’s help” he made a decision to give up his career in order to be closer to home, and more importantly, closer to his family. Randy, and Pam, are glad to be back home in Maryville and feel blessed to be able to start a new real estate team at Realty Executives Associates with good friends and respected Blount Countians Jay and Scott Blevins.

After graduating from East Tennessee State University, Scott began his professional career as an educator with Maryville City Schools. Over the last 30 years he has served as both a teacher and an administrator within the Maryville system. His decision to retire as principal of Sam Houston Elementary at the end of this school year to pursue a career in Real Estate was bittersweet. “I have been extremely fortunate to serve the community that I love by investing in the lives of our students.” “Maryville City Schools is an incredible organization and I will always cherish the relationships that I have established with colleagues, families, and students.” The veteran educator is thrilled to continue with Maryville City Schools and work part-time as Director of Facilities and Maintenance for this coming school year. Scott is thrilled to enter this new career venture in Real Estate as a partner in The Blevins Group and is excited for the opportunity to work alongside his brother, Jay, and good friend, Randy Temple. Scott’s desire is to continue serving this great community by assisting his friends and neighbors with their real estate needs.
