I have lived in Whittier, CA since 1978, when I relocated for a professional position. In 1987, I was asked to manage a small real estate office with 6 agents. My previous profession was running and managing businesses, and in that I wished to have a change, I took the position. I earned my real estate license, and later my Broker’s license.
I have always been involved in the community, having served on the board of directors of the Whittier Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Whittier YMCA, the Whittier Boys and Girls Club, and the Whittier Uptown Association. I have been a member of the Whittier Rotary Club since 1980, and served as President in 1986-87. I am also am member of Whittier Elks Lodge, #1258 since 2008, and have been the chairman of the board of directors for the past 4 years.
I have worked at Realty Executives Cornerstone for over 30 years and due to my community involvement, I have a large sphere of influence which has served me well over the years. My “nitch” is Estate Management and Resolution. I work with several attorneys who refer clients to me, who have need for my experience, knowledge, and abilities to manage property during either a trust settlement or probate procedures. I make sure the property upkeep is performed and it is secure. When it is time to liquidate, I then market the property for the owners.
I have been the owner and broker of record since 2002 and have over 40 Executives who work with us. I have a business partner who is the Career Development Director. She recruits, trains and is involved in accountability of our team.
I enjoy an excellent reputation in our community as an honest, fair minded, and knowledgeable Realtor who can get the job done. What is as valuable to me is not only the respect of my clients, but the respect of my peers. At the end of the day, your image and reputation is all that you have. I am fortunate to enjoy both in a positive vein.
Our office serves the communities of Whittier, Santa Fe Springs, Pico Rivera, Montebello, Norwalk, Downey, La Mirada, La Habra and La Habra Heights as our primary responsibility. In that the southeast section of Los Angeles County is so dense, we also serve North Orange County and points from the "mountains to the sea".
My speciality is estate management and resolution. I work primarly for attorneys and manage property until the estate is ready to liquidate the asset. I handle the resolution of personal effects through estate sales and then market the properties as necessary. It is a delicate speciality in that normally I get involved when there is a death in the family. I work with probates and trusts and my attorneys trust that I will care for the asset until they are ready to make some kine of move within the estate. Most of the time we market the property, but it is not uncommon for a family member to decide to move into the property and buy out their siblings. That works too. It is a very specialized and rewarding part of the real estate business.
