Melinda Chambers works with home buyers, sellers and investors in Reno, Rice and McPherson counties. Melinda is known in Hutchinson for her work as a veterinarian as she founded, owned and managed the Central Kansas Veterinary Center hospitals in Hutchinson and South Hutchinson until the hospitals were sold. She brings her business expertise as well as her experience as a house "flipper" and landlord to assist her clients in achieving their real estate goals.
Melinda grew up in Lyons, Kansas, received her BA from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas and her DVM from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. While in Colorado, she co-founded and managed the TenderCare Veterinary Center in Greenwood Village, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. She and her husband Glenn, a retired Methodist minister, moved back to Kansas in 1997 and operated the Prairie Garden Bed and Breakfast in Sterling before moving to Hutchinson.
Melinda has always had an interest in real estate and has renovated several homes for resale in both Colorado and Kansas. Historic homes hold a particular interest for her She enjoys gardening and her yard was included in the 2015 Hutchinson Master Gardener garden tour. She also enjoys music and currently accompanies the Sterling United Methodist church choir. She and Glenn appreciate the outdoors and have enjoyed many hiking and backpack trips in Colorado. Her volunteer activities include work for Habitat for Humanity, Cause for Paws, Mainstreet Sterling, Sterling Historic Preservation and Meals on Wheels.
