Mark Cardon - Biography


Born in Palo Alto, California, raised in Colorado Springs and schooled at the University of Utah, where I received a B.S. in International Economics in 1986. I've been involved in some form of real estate ever since. I initially started my career in Colorado Springs, CO, with the second largest new home builder and developer, North American Homes, who had 13 communities throughout the Pikes Peak region. After a similar economic crunch as in 2008, I had a brief hiatus and worked as a Policy Service Representative at USAA Insurance, in the Rocky Mountain Regional Home Office in Colorado Springs.

As the economy made it's inevitable resurgence, so too did my appetite for real estate and re-igniting my real estate career. Eventually, this lead to starting and becoming a partner in a new real estate brokerage in Colorado Springs called Rocky Mountain Investments. We specialized in distressed properties, aka HUD, VA repo's, and investment properties, specifically multi-family and commercial investments. Starting initially with two brokers, we eventually grew our company to 12 additional agents, where I served as the sales manager, trainer and recruiter.

After two years of this business venture, an opportunity arose to sell a new home development in Southern Utah, specifically St. George.

Eventually I moved into commercial property management, focusing my efforts for the next 12 years involved in commercial sales, leasing, self storage management and commercial and residential project development. Managed properties throughout the Southern Utah region (retail, office, industrial and multi-family) and was also licensed in Nevada.  I am currently an active Broker in Utah as well.

Have lived in Bellevue and currently Newcastle for the past 7 years with my wife and stepson and our Shih tzu "Hercules".

Through these years of experience I've learned that every transaction is unique and requires diligent and pro-active assessment and inevitable response to the knowns and unknowns of each transaction.  The goal ultimately is to attain a Win/Win senario, in which the buyer and seller achieve their realistic, real estate objectives.  Knowledge is power - and the proper use of that knowledge, is the key to finding the real estate deal which aligns with your unique needs.
