Harvey Heit - Biography

Get to know Harvey Heit, NYC Associate Broker & (as of Feb 2016) Licensed Florida Real Estate Broker:

Harvey Heit brings to his clients expertise honed over nearly 24 years of full-time real estate sales experience handling a wide array of simple and complex residential and commercial transactions.

His professional accomplishments include helping everyone from first-time buyers and sellers to sophisticated investors with large real estate portfolios.

Coupled with his own personal insight as a townhouse owner, renovator and seller, Harvey has acquired a broad knowledge and personal experience in the housing business that his customers really appreciate.

Harvey is also equally appreciated for the high energy, great enthusiasm and endearing sense of humor he brings to each situation. "Sometimes this is key when assisting buyers, renters and sellers with transactions often involving large amounts of money, to alleviate stress and make the process enjoyable."

He enjoys an exemplary reputation as an attentive Buyer's Agent/First-Time Homeowners and First-Time Sellers Specialist who helps clients seize opportunity, and see the value in property that sometimes goes above and beyond the numbers.

While Harvey serves numerous neighborhoods in NYC, he particularly specializes in Long Island City, Sunnyside and Astoria in Queens, and in Park Slope and the Downtown vicinity in Brooklyn.

Born and raised in the Maryland/Washington, D.C. area, Harvey received his BS in Business Management/Finance from the University of Maryland in College Park. He attained a second Bachelor degree in Hotel/Restaurant Administration, and later an MBA in Marketing Management from Baruch College in NYC while working full time in various management and financial positions in the hospitality industry.

Also a former small business consultant, Harvey decided to pursue his passion for real estate, inspired by his mother, an agent, and father, an appraiser, who also gravitated to the business from other directions in life.

Personally, Harvey is a former professional musician who's still a great lover and listener of all types of tunes. He's also a strong believer in exercise and healthy eating, and as he puts it, "needs to stay in shape to keep up with the rigorous pace of a real estate broker's existence!"
