I've met a stranger in my life, and during my entire professional career in Chicago working in industries from human resources benefits consulting, telecommunications consulting, to commercial real estate, people from all walks of life have told me that with my "people personality", customer focus, dedication to detail, and "can-do" attitude, that I would also excel in the real estate industry. I always kept it in the back of my mind, and actually loved the research and marketing aspect of it that I learned in commercial real estate. Once my son graduated college, I felt free enough to pursue my own life dreams and career aspirations.
