In 1985, two amazing things happened in my life. I got married and became a REALTOR. And I am happy to say, I still love being both! It is a rare thing for someone to love what they do and be able to earn a living doing it, but I am living proof that it can happen.
I have two grown sons that married women that I now consider daughters and one grandson who puts the twinkle in my eye. We are expecting another grandchild in March of this year and are so very excited that our family is growing.
I have been asked many times, what my favorite thing about being a realtor is. I can honestly answer, putting a new home on the market. It's exciting, from the first inquiry, answering the many questions, staging each room to show off it's features, scheduling the photogragher, the REALTORS tour, the first open house and everything that prepares the home for that first buyer to walk in and hopefully say "OOOOHHH, I think this is IT!" That is the best thing about being a realtor for me. I consider it my job, to not only sell the home at the highest price possible, but to make the process easy on the home owners. And although this period in their lives may be a bit stressfull, I strive to make it fun as well.
My favorite reccomendation ever came from Carl L. Hagle. He said:
"After three months with the previous listing agent and no positive feed back. It is quite refreshing and reassuring to participate with your entusiasm and positive approach in the marketing of our home. After interviewing four other agents, you reminded me of that old Chinese proverb "Man who say it cannot be done, should not interrupt man doing it. "
Whether you are looking for your first home or your retirement home, I hope you give me a chance to show you how much I care.
I am a local girl. If you are looking in Lombard, Elmhurst, Villa Park, Downers Grove or Glen Ellyn, than you are in my stomping grounds. I rarely go outside of Dupage county, but I will do my best. And if I don't feel knowledgeable in your area, I will find you a reputable agent who will have the knowledge and expertise you deserve.
"Home is where your STORY begins..." is not just a line. I believe in the IMPORTANCE of each and every home purchase. It will determine your neighbors, who your friends are, if you have children, it will decide, where they will go to school, what restaurants and community events you will have access to, the places you will work out in...where you live will effect the rest of your life. When it's time to move, call someone you can trust.
