Is it time for you to hire a coach for your business?


Most top executives have a coach. If you look at most top performers in any industry, they all have a coach--sometimes multiple coaches. Statistically speaking, those who have a coach and are held accountable for their business perform far better than those who don't.


Why hire a coach?


People who hire a coach receive insight, tools and techniques that help them find a better, more efficient way to run their business AND to grow as an individual in their business. A coach with proper training can guide you to become the best YOU possible. That's what we all want, isn't it?


Top performers know that there is always a next level and they are always striving for it. They're constantly on the hunt for tools and resources to take them to the next level; and they know they can't do it alone.


It's important for those who want to be top producers to have someone to support and encourage them and someone to hold them accountable to follow-through. Someone to provide tools and techniques that actually work.


Why should real estate agents hire a coach?


1) Agents need coaching because there are SO MANY AGENTS in the industry and competition is fierce! Granted, many agents close only a few deals. Those are still deals that were taken away from a full-time agent. Because of the fierce competition, you need every advantage you can possibly have.

2) Real estate is super easy to get into and one of the most difficult to be successful in. The industry requires very little (by comparison) training and testing. There is no requirement for training beyond passing the test at the state level so many agents are out there with no idea what they're actually doing!

3) Once an agent joins a brokerage, there is little time to spend one-on-one with that agent to ensure their success and help them grow into their new position. Most agents get basic contract training and how to fill out a listing agreement.

4) Many veterans in the business are afraid of mentoring and sharing their knowledge with new agents they may view as their competition.

5) No matter how good a seasoned agent is, if they don't stay on top of what's new in the industry, they will quickly find themselves obsolete.


All of these reasons are exactly why a professional real estate agent should hire a coach. Don't you want to be the agent who goes above and beyond to be the best you can be? If you read Selling The Invisible you will learn that you are selling YOURSELF—basically an invisible, intangible product—and therefore need to position yourself as THE BEST.


The internet has made selling real estate a different industry than it was in years past. The average seller interviews 3-5 agents before choosing one; and buyers have often found the house they want to buy before approaching an agent.


Because buyers and sellers are more selective than ever before, it is imperative that you set yourself apart. You have to brand YOURSELF and be the best in the business in order to set yourself apart. This is a relationship business, isn't it? You have to be keenly aware of what sets you apart from the other agents in your area in order to market yourself, don't you? Part of what my job is as your coach is to help you home in on and polish your skills and guide you to becoming completely congruent with your role as the best realtor you can be. 


In the past, your personality could have been the deciding factor in whether or not someone hired you as their agent. Today-although personality is the first thing a prospective client sees-you also have to be able to differentiate yourself with your knowledge, skills, and expertise in order to be chosen as their agent. I know it's not possible for one person to haul around everything they might need to know and do to succeed in a backpack or briefcase. When you hire a coach, suddenly everything becomes easier. A coach is able to guide you so that the vision and the path to get to the vision become clear. Think of a coach as the flashlight on the path to success.


What if I don't want to be coached?


If you don't want to be coached then you shouldn't be. It's not my goal to convince you to be coached when you're not ready. Maybe you're 100% happy with where you are in your life right now and see no areas where you want to make a change. Good for you!  If you're completely honest with yourself, you know what you can do and earn without a coach, don't you? And if you're happy with that, then you don't need a coach. If, however, you aren't 100% happy, then you should strongly consider reaching out to me for an initial chat. It's just information gathering, right?


Why hire me as your coach?

I do not have a "one-size fits all" style of coaching. We're going to work on YOUR goals, YOUR skills, YOUR dreams, and YOUR limiting beliefs to take you to the highest possible goal you have for yourself.

How much extra money are you spending trying to put a band aid on a situation that would be fixed with hiring a coach and finally being rid of those negative emotions and limiting beliefs? How much is it costing you to not have the skills you need to be the best agent you can be?

The reality is, there is always an excuse to not be vulnerable. There is always an excuse to not do the work. The thing coaches hear all the time is "Why did I wait so long to do this?!" Because you know what? You will be so happy when you're actually living the life you were meant to live.
