Honestly...... for the most part BUYERS are SHALLOW. They make quick decisions based on appearances, and don't fool yourself, they are JUDGING! Being a meticulous house keeper goes A LONG WAY when your home is listed for sale, but really, not everyone is a TYPE-A neat freak. The good news for you is that the buyers don't know you personally, and the truth is.... we live one way, and we sell another. Have you ever heard the age-old saying, "Fake it 'til you Make it?" This could not be more true when trying to sell a home. With that said, the (shallow) buyers out there are extremely impressed when they see different organizational tactics being used throughout a home they are viewing. I'm talking aboutclosets, drawers, cabinets, your refrigerator, shelves, pantry, and laundry room for starters! Buyers are inspired by organization. They start to think, "...WOW.... if I bought this home, maybe I will suddenly be this organized...." [or].. "Oh my gosh, if they are this organized in their closets and drawers, they must have taken such great care of this house!... [OR] "Holy cow, life would be great if I could learn to live this way!" You get the point. Organization IMPRESSES the buyer, is inexpensive, and helps your home show to its potential.
