Gary did a super job assisting us with every aspect of selling a family estate home in Wheaton. He was a fantastic resource in helping us get the property 'show ready', as he lined up dumpster rental, cleaning and locksmith services and more. Gary was great! He far outdid any expectations I had for a real estate agent. He was always available--sometimes on a moment’s notice. He was a tremendous help in hauling furniture and other donations to the resale shops, doing some necessary repairs, and well after the fact helping me find buyers for some special household items. This all in addition to being a good listener, working with me on the details of selling my home, listing it at a very fair price and having it sold within a week! He truly does personally care about each individual client and their specific needs.

Mr. Gary Braaten is a caring, practical and thoughtful Realtor that makes a chaotic home buying experience much more personalized and enjoyable experience. Gary helped my wife, a teacher, and I, a physician assistant, purchase our 3rd home in June 2020. After contemplating home addition or moving to get some space for our three children, we found a home that was really appealing, fitting our need/desire for more space, big charm (old) and certainly location (school district and yard space for me to tinker in). As it turned out, we put our home up for sale in March at the height of the early pandemic fear; in fact, Illinois and the country at large shut down on a Friday, and we went live on the market the following Monday. Cautiously optimistic, we nevertheless were able to weather the historic uncertainty and buy/sell without any obstacles. Gary was essential in guiding us through the process, getting an excellent value on both our home sale and our home purchase.

Gary is an exceptional realtor and person. He helped me navigate various challenges in both selling my home and purchasing a new home - all in a very short period of time. He was responsive to my many questions and concerns - both large and small. His experience, expertise, and sensitivity helped us weather the ups and downs of listing a house: having an offer, and then having the sale fall through, and then quickly having another comparable offer that ended up going through. He was always honest with us and he always had the right thing to say to calm our nerves! He went above and beyond my expectations for a realtor - from giving me home repair help and advice, to helping me last minute look for clothes dryer, to clearing the 6 inches of snow from the driveway of my new house two days after our late January closing! Not only did Gary sell my townhouse in record time, he coordinated the renovations so that we got top $. He also helped with getting a dumpster delivered to the property and even helped to fill it up ! For other things that were more valuable but not needed, he delivered these items, with his Ford F-150 pickup truck, to Jubilee Furniture and Goodwill. Gary is a true professional and highly recommended.

As a first time home buyer the whole process was frightening and confusing, he walked us through every step, explaining what to expect and answering any questions. Gary is one of a kind!. He assisted us with the sale of our family home in Wheaton. His knowledge of the area and available resources in the area can't be matched. Gary arranged everything--dumpster rental, a cleaning service, furnace repair, locksmith services, and more. He even offered his own truck to help with moving furniture.
