Putting Together A Guest Room

There is nothing better than having friends and family come for a visit. Welcoming a house guest and making sure it's a comfortable visit is important to any host. So why not make their visit a memorable one? Putting together a few simple items to customize their stay is a sure way to ensure a guest feels special and welcomed. We've put together a list of a few items that will ensure the stay is an enjoyable one. 

1. Always wash the bedding before a guest arrives so that the sheets feel and smell freshly laundered. Having extra pillows and a blanket on hand is also a nice touch. 
2. Leave their favorite treat or mint in a small container, just in case they get a sweet tooth craving 
3. Keep extra toothbrushes on hand for the guest that forgets to pack this
4. Place magazines on the nightstand, it can be difficult to fall asleep in new surroundings
5. Having extra toiletries in the guest bathroom such as q-tips, kleenex, shampoo/conditioner, dental floss and mouthwash are bathroom essentials
6. A water carafe and cup on the bedstand will be a welcomed detail
7. Flowers, if you really want to make an impression, put together a small fresh flower arrangement for their room

The only complaint you'll have from your guests is that they have to leave. Taking a few extra minutes to prepare your guest room will have a big impact, plus you'll find the effort pays off big!
